How SIMAK LABS LTD handles personal data on this website.
Last updated 10 September 2026
The short version. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no trackers and loads nothing from third-party servers. There are no forms. Unless you email us, the only record of your visit is an ordinary server log held by our hosting provider.
Who we are
SIMAK LABS LTD is the data controller for this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17449816, with a registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
For anything in this notice, including a request about your data, write to support@simak.ai.
This notice covers labs.simak.ai only. Our products have their own privacy notices, because they handle different data for different reasons.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use them. No cookies are set by this site, no analytics package is installed, there are no advertising or social media trackers, and no fonts, scripts or images are loaded from anyone else's servers. That is why you were not asked to accept anything when you arrived.
What we collect
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard technical information each time a page is requested: the IP address making the request, the time, the page or file requested, the referring page where one is sent, and the browser's user agent string. This happens for every website and is how a server delivers a page and defends itself from abuse. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
If you email us
When you write to one of our addresses we receive your email address, any name you give, and whatever you choose to put in the message. We use it to answer you and, if it leads to work, to run that engagement.
Why we are allowed to do this
Both uses rest on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR: keeping a website online and secure, and replying to people who contact us about our work. We have considered your interests, and neither use is one a visitor would find unexpected or intrusive. If you disagree, you can object. See your rights.
How long we keep it
Server logs are held for a limited period set by our hosting provider and then discarded automatically. Email correspondence is kept while it is relevant to your enquiry. Where it becomes part of a business relationship, we keep the records for as long as we are required to for tax and company law purposes, which in the UK is six years from the end of the accounting period.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to data brokers. Data is handled on our behalf by two categories of provider, each under contract and only on our instructions:
- Our website host, which serves these pages and keeps the server logs described above.
- Our domain and email providers, which route and store email you send us.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Data outside the UK
Our hosting and email providers operate internationally, so personal data may be processed outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the transfer safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or on a country the UK has found to offer adequate protection.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it erased, to restrict how we use it, to object to our using it, and to receive it in a portable form. You can exercise any of these by writing to support@simak.ai. We will respond within one month. We do not charge for this, and we will not ask you for more information than we need to find your records.
We make no automated decisions about you and do no profiling.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's supervisory authority:

Changes
If we add anything to this site that collects data, such as a contact form, analytics, or an embedded service, we will update this notice before it goes live and change the date at the top.
